Zebra Herd

Zebras roam freely in Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, and are often seen nearby other herds of wildebeests and water buffalo. The Crater is a huge volcanic caldera covering 100 square miles that was formed approximately 2.5 million years ago when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself. It is 2000 feet deep and features almost every animal species found in East Africa. In 1979, Ngorongoro Crater was designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
